---|---|---|---|

Step 2Place the lid on the jug and close the spout to prevent spills. |
Step 3Plunge the frother up and down until desired level of froth is achieved. If you would like warm froth, microwave on high for 30 to 50 seconds. Be sure to remove the plunger assembly before placing the jug in the microwave. |
Step 4Spoon the milk froth out of your beaker and onto your coffee. Enjoy! |
Coffee-House Style Drinks:
---|---|---|---|
CappuccinoIn Italy cappuccino is served in a 6 oz. cup. The coffee is topped by a dense froth (half foam, half steamed milk) in a ratio of 3:1. Usually the drink is dusted with unsweetened cocoa. |
Caffe MochaCaffe mocha has been served in Italian-American cafes since the 1950s. It’s a combination of equal amounts of coffee, hot chocolate and hot frothed milk. Today the hot chocolate is oftentimes substituted with chocolate syrup. For the ultimate sinners it is topped off with whipped cream. |
Latte MacchiatoThe coffee is slowly poured into an 8 oz. glass filled with hot, frothed milk. The coffee 'stains' the milk and creates a darker layer over the milk. Then it all gets topped off with pure white foam – making a perfect latte macchiato, a three-layer drink. |
Caffe LatteLatte is made with coffee and steamed milk in a ratio of 5:1. The coffee is topped with steamed milk then finished with steamed milk foam. |

Product Description
The BODUM range line was complemented with these fantastic milk frothers. The silk plastic lid has a deep rim to prevent foam from escaping through the spout. The plunger handle has a comfortable grip and is pleasant and smooth to touch. In less than 30 seconds you can easily whip your preheated milk into the airy foam, only a BODUM milk frother can give you. After you have served your guests, you can put every part of the milk frother into the dishwasher. Instructions: 1) Fill the frother to the line (approximately 8-10 ounces) with COLD Milk (Non Fat or Regular). 2)Place the jug onto a flat surface. 3)Place the lid with the whip onto the jug. Close the pouring outlet. 4)Beat the milk by moving the plunging frother up and down. Plunge the milk about 60-90 times (you will feel the milk getting thicker). Allow the milk to rest for about 1 minute. The froth will thicken significantly during this time. If you would like warm froth, microwave on high for 30 to 50 seconds. (Be sure to remove the plunger assembly before placing the jug in the microwave) 5)Spoon the milk froth out of your frother and onto your coffee. To achieve the best froth we recommend using cold, non-fat, or low-fat milk. Enjoy.

Easy to wash. We use Soy milk and it works fantastic. A tip: set your microwave to a lower setting when heating your milk. It will take a little bit longer to reach the desired temperature than on the high setting, but it is easier to control your milk from boiling. Once the milk is heated simply pump the plunger a few times until you get the degree of frothing you desire.

The frother is incredibly easy to use - just pump the plunger up and down about halfway in the glass jar and velvety smooth froth starts forming within 30-45 seconds. I've used it with both whole milk and nonfat milk. The whole milk whips up faster given the higher fat content, but it works great with nonfat too. I have not tried it with any alternative milks.
The texture of the frothed milk is thicker and creamier than other electric frothers I've tried. It's smooth and velvety rather than airy and foamy. I also love that you can microwave the glass jar if you want to heat up the milk first before frothing.
Cleaning couldn't be simpler with these 2 parts - the plunger and the glass. A quick immediate rinse is all it takes. It looks a bit like a french press but doesn't function as one due to the difference of the plunger design. The materials seem durable, though being glass I wouldn't want to drop it.
Overall, for the affordable price this manual frother is fantastic for making frothed milk at home. The process is quick and easy, and the froth is smooth, thick, and velvety.

Tip: when frothing with this, be sure to "slap" the top of the milk with the paddle, pushing air into the milk, rather than leaving it inside the milk and merely churning. Do it right and you'll have about as good a frother as one could hope for.
